Marilyn is made of 365 hand-blown, opaque, black glass pixels; each uniquely created for its exact position in this piece. The pixels are mounted over a gold leaf background and encased in a handmade, hardwood, deep black frame. The deliberately low resolution means that the image only becomes visible when you step away from the piece.
